First of all, did everyone see the new Toy Story 4 teaser trailer? All I can think about when I hear Buzz Lightyear's catchphrase are Ducky + Bunny.... but, back to business--
2018 was hands-down, the best year ever. I was going to do a whole post dedicated to all the fabulous things that I did in the past 365 days, but instead here's a calendar of my finest moments during my 22nd year around the sun:
January- Celebrated my 22nd bday at the casino with my besties + two years with my honey!
February- Attended my last THON as a Penn State student
March- Went to Disney World with Jared for the first time
April- Was offered an internship with The Walt Disney Company + my last hoorah in Beaver Stadium as a PSU student for Blue and White weekend
May- Graduated from college!! + Watched my brother win the National Championship for PSU baseball
June- Made the move down to Florida to start my yearlong position with Disney's Corporate Alliances; Got to experience Toy Story Land preopen (construction outfit and all); Did sunrise yoga in the Magic Kingdom right in front of Cinderella Castle; Was on a live set for a Disney Channel commercial
July- Visited Jenna in Fort Lauderdale with the Hinkle fam, helped execute a Disney Digital Network photo and video shoot + spent a week in Disney with my whole family (+ Jared and Jordie)
August- Team bowling bonding at Splitsville; Took the initiative to make a change in my physical and mental health
September- First Food and Wine Festival with my mom at Epcot; First Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party
October- Visited PSU and all of my people for Penn State vs Michigan State
November- Spent a day with Nikon executives and ambassadors doing a photoshoot in Epcot; Experienced the filming for a Disney Christmas special with Sarah Hyland and Jordan Fisher; Spent a weekend with my two besties in Disney World
December- Attended a summit with Whirlpool Corp. + Spent the holidays home with my family
Highly recommend making yourself one of these "recap lists of 2018." I totally forgot about a lot of the things I did this year. Going back and reflecting on all of the good parts was the best thing I could have done. I'm so determined to make 2019 just as great, if not better than last year!
My 2019 New Year's goals are as follows:
1. Finally make it to the goal weight I've always wanted
2. Accomplish one new thing every month (do something I've never done or never tried)
3. Find a full-time job doing something I love
4. Continue to make commitments to myself and follow through (AKA stick to my resolutions!)
5. Practice self-care + self love- use a journal/blog more often!
I have a few other mini-goals but these are my top 5 goals for the year. I'll be blogging about number 2 specifically to tell you guys all about my new accomplishments and *hopefully* inspire you to try new things as well!
What are your new year's resolutions, goals or aspirations? Tell me on my latest Instagram post!
Stay smilin' -- Steph
